ASEE is delighted to announce the 16th European Supported Employment Conference, taking place in Liverpool from 7 to 8 December 2026 in partnership with BASE, the British Association for Supported Employment.
Under the theme “The Art of the Possible; Connecting the Dots”, the conference reflects our community’s shared commitment to high-quality services, inclusive workplaces and evidence-informed practice, on an international scale.
Our shared North Star
“Supported Employment must remain rooted in something bigger than politics: values, evidence and a shared commitment that good careers must be possible for everyone.”
Across Europe, we are working towards a common language and understanding of the ingredients that we know work when supporting disabled people, neurodivergent people and those facing complex barriers into employment. This North Star does not recognise borders. It travels across countries, translates across languages and still leaves room to make support personal to each individual.
The fidelity journey so far
The Supported Employment Quality Framework grew from work across Europe, and the journey towards model fidelity shows what we can achieve when we learn from one another.
🌍
It started in Europe
The foundations of the quality framework were built through work across European countries.
🇬🇧
Developed in the UK
Fidelity was taken further in the UK, where nationally funded Supported Employment is now delivered in local communities.
🇪🇺
Now adopted across Europe
A common approach that can be robustly researched and strengthened together.
At a time of limited resources, pressure on public budgets and growing economic inactivity, more people than ever could benefit from high-quality Supported Employment. As the model grows, we must collectively champion model fidelity and make sure quality is never compromised. This conference is our moment to build confidence, strengthen our shared evidence base and make the case for the investment needed to fund the models that work.
